Registration is open! Do you have a prospective angler ages 10-14 who is eager to learn more about fly fishing, conservation, watersheds, and the outdoors? This is the place!
Students at our camp will learn:
Watersheds and how they work
Fly Casting, Fly Tying, Aquatic Entomology
Equipment set up, lines, leaders, knots
Presentation, catch & release, fish biology

All food, fly tying materials and fishing equipment are provided.
Scholarship Funds are available to multiple children each year through Clackamas River Trout Unlimited.
Camp Curriculum
Equipment basics, rod, reel, line, accessories, knots, wading gear, safety equipment.
Casting, presentation skills, line control, distance, accuracy, special techniques, fly selection.
Introduction to fly tying, natural and synthetic materials, aquatic entomology, matching the hatch.
Trout habitat, water quality, river ecology, stream hydrology, conservation, riparian habitat.
