3rd Annual Smith River Riparian Planting Event

Please consider joining us for our 3rd annual Smith River Riparian Planting event.

Volunteers from Trout Unlimited and the Smith River Watershed Council will help BLM plant conifers and willow stakes along excavator access roads constructed for wood placement sites on tributaries to the upper Smith River. We will plant sites along Russel Creek, Bum Creek, and North Sisters.

Planting will take place March 30th and 31st. Plan to meet at 9:00 both days at the junction of the Smith River Road and South Sisters Road (BLM Road number 20-8-17.0). See attached map for meeting location or let me know if you need directions.

Bring your own gloves, boots, hardhat, water, and lunch. We’ll provide the trees and shovels. Think sun!

Thanks for your help! If you have any questions, please contact:
